Tinubu Demands Action: President Presses Police and Service Chiefs for Arrests of Criminals

According to Channels Television and other reputable news outlets, President Tinubu has publicly expressed his frustration over the lack of arrests following recent criminal activities associated with the recent Benue Killings. In a meeting with the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and service chiefs, Tinubu questioned, “How come no arrests have been made?… I expect there should be arrests of those criminals. Let’s get those criminals, let’s get them out.” This comment was made amid rising concerns about insecurity and the effectiveness of Nigeria’s security agencies. In response, the IGP and service chiefs have reportedly assured the president of renewed efforts to track down and apprehend those responsible for recent crimes.
