Blaqbonez Openly Reveals Death Threats in Music Industry

On June 22, 2025, Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, known professionally as Blaqbonez, At just 29 years old, he openly admitted what has sent shockwaves through the music industry when he claimed his life was under serious threat from “unnamed music figures.” Addressing a concerned fan on X (formerly Twitter) who questioned his decision not to pursue a 15‑year career in the industry, he responded bluntly:

“Them say them go kill me, but I don record enough for 3 more albums, no fear, because rap actually hard for some people.”

In keeping with this haunting message, he revealed he has already recorded three additional albums, supposedly to preserve his legacy should anything happen to him.  While he refrained from identifying any specific individuals behind the threats, his revelation brought panic among fans and stirred intense speculation across Nigerian media outlets.

The unsettling disclosure underscores just how volatile the music scene can be, even for an artist as daring and confident as Blaqbonez.  Fans have been left grappling with a wave of concern, urging him to stay safe and possibly involve authorities, though no official report or legal action has been announced so far. With his three‑album security blanket now part of the public conversation, many are counting on his resilience and hoping this stays a cautionary digital warning rather than something more grim.
